Rabbi's Reflections ~ Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Prescott
I proudly serve on the JCF Board along with several other TBS congregants: Robin Frielich, Josh Caulkins, Rich Adler, David and Pam Hess, Harold Greenberg, and Dan Adler. There are other Jewish professionals on the Board. 16 of us in total. We meet quarterly, as we did last night, to review financials, programs, and philanthropic efforts made possible by donors who entrust their dollars and their visions to JCF.
In 2025 (so far), JCF has provided the funding for our new parking lot stairs, for Jewish camp scholarships for many of our kiddos (we had a record 12 students attend Camp Stein this summer), for our religious school students who need financial assistance, and for 39 children in the area who receive monthly Jewish books from PJ library.
JCF provides important outreach to non-Jewish leaders of the greater Prescott community.
If you don't know much about their impressive, often under-the-radar good works, check out their website. https://jcfgp.org/ בשלום Rabbi Susan

Temple B'rith Shalom's Firearm Policy
This policy is intended to cover all Temple B’rith Shalom official events, whether at 2077 Brohner Way, Prescott, Arizona, or offsite at another location.
The State of Arizona is a “Constitutional Carry” state, meaning anyone legally allowed to own a gun (age 18 and over) can carry a gun openly or concealed, with limited restrictions, such as a school or polling location.
Temple B’rith Shalom does not deny congregants of their legal right to carry a firearm, but appreciates everyone’s cooperation by not carrying a gun openly while attending official temple functions. The Board of Directors would like anyone carrying a concealed weapon to discreetly notify the uniformed officer or deputy assigned to support official temple functions before entering the temple or other facility. This notification is for safety of the officer or deputy, as well as other congregants, should an incident occur during the event or function.
