Vision Statement
The goal of the Religious School is to make passionate Jewish life an integral part of every family's experience of Judaism. We want every member of Temple B’rith Shalom, from the very youngest to the most seasoned, to experience and engage their Jewish lives through an authentic, rich, and meaningfully relevant, Judaism. We want the children to feel at home in their synagogue and know they are vital members of the Temple B’rith Shalom community,

About our Religious School
Temple B'rith Shalom wants children and parents to live Judaism, not simply learn about it. At B'rith Shalom, the involvement of family is crucial to the educational experience as well as to their sense of belonging in the life of the community.

Sunday school classes for children in grades PK-5 are taught by Rabbi Susan Schanerman and our wonderful teachers, Samantha Opperman, Sara Opitz and Amber Caulkins. The curriculum revolves around the three T’s: Torah, Tefillah (prayer) and Tikkun Olam (Repair of the world). The goal is to cultivate empathy and to teach the ideas that are the moral and ethical foundations of Judaism.

For more information about the Religious School, please contact Rabbi Susan at rabbi@brithshalom-az.org.
