Rabbi Susan Schanerman is our spiritual leader.
Rabbi Susan Schanerman, DSJS has served the Phoenix Jewish community in a professional capacity for twenty years, as a clergy member, cantorial soloist, and director of education for two congregations in the east valley. She is thrilled to begin her next adventure as the Rabbi of Temple B'rith Shalom in Prescott, Arizona. Rabbi Susan holds a doctorate in Jewish studies at Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership in Chicago. She was granted rabbinic ordination in June 2010 at Mesifta Adas Wolkowisk in New York.
Rabbi Susan is passionate about Jewish spirituality, about creating a warm and welcoming synagogue for worship and community, about sharing Judaism through music, education, and social justice. She looks forward to meeting you and to sharing your Jewish journey with you.
Rabbi Susan serves Jews in the quad city area with weddings, baby namings, and funerals.
