Rabbi's Reflections ~ שמחת תורה The final holiday in the High Holiday season is Simchat Torah - the joyous celebration of Torah. It is a family oriented celebration in which we dance and sing with the Torah and we conclude and immediately restart at the beginning.
Simchat Torah conveys a clear message about the centrality of Torah in Jewish life. It is both a source of Jewish identity and a precious gift from God.
Torah is central to our TBS community. Let's take a moment from our worries and concerns and make merry with the rest of the Jewish world.
All children and adults are invited!

A message from President Deborah Plotkin
Gloria Hershman has resigned her position as Treasurer of Temple B’rith Shalom. Please thank her for her dedication to Temple B’rith Shalom, for her financial expertise and ability to move TBS towards financial stability and sustainability. Gloria helped the Board create a doable and strong strategic plan, chaired our Gala and gave strength to the Board of Directors. Her guidance will be missed by all of us. We wish her health and happiness.
The Board of Directors had a contingency plan if the Treasurer of TBS needed to leave his/her position before our Annual meeting. The Board of Directors asked CPA Chedva Weingart who has a stellar resume to be the Acting Treasurer of TBS. Chedva is a member in good standing and qualified to be our Acting Treasurer. Chedva has accepted the position as Acting Treasurer. Please welcome and thank her for taking this important role. Sincerely, Deborah Plotkin President
