Rabbi's Reflections ~ People Love Dead Jews Dara Horn published in 2021 a series of non-fiction essays exploring the exploitation of Jewish history, particularly focusing on the fascination with Jewish deaths rather than respecting the lives and culture of the living Jewish community. The book covers various topics including Anne Frank, Jewish history in places like Harbin, China, and indifference to rising antisemitism.
Our Great Thoughts Thursday (12pm-1pm) group will study this book starting Aug. 29. We read aloud during class. No homework.
Discussions are lively and thoughtful. It's a wonderful way to connect with other congregants and learn about Judaism.
Used copies are available on Amazon and Abe Books and elsewhere. Join us.
