We are a musical congregation. We sing with energy and enthusiasm during services. We learn new melodies quickly and appreciate the value of music in prayer.
There are so many simple and beautiful Jewish melodies and chants that we don't incorporate in our services because, well, we don't have time.
If you think it would be enjoyable to meet occasionally to learn and sing simple Jewish melodies played on the guitar, let me know. Kind of a create-your-own harmonies, fill the room with melody experience.

Meet at the Highland Center parking lot - 2 miles south of Costco on Walker Road, left side of the road. We’ll be hiking south on trail 305 for approximately 2 miles before turning around to return the same way. This area is very green with lots of trees and a few small hills.
TBS has the opportunity to bring Paul Rockower, Executive Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Phoenix to TBS to deliver a presentation on anti-Semitism and strategies. If there is enough interest, we will schedule this presentation for Sunday, July 28 from 1-2pm. Please email Rabbi Susan by June 1 if you would plan to attend.
