Grieving the loss of a loved one can be a lifelong journey. The feelings and thoughts that surface come and go, sometimes with a ferocity that leave us thinking that we'll never feel better.
We all know that time helps a lot but sometimes we can benefit from a group of others who are expeiencing their own personal pain.
Our grief and mourning group will meet twice/month on Shabbat mornings for an hour. Members will have an opportunity to share stories and feelings in a completely confidential environment. I will facilitate the group with writing exercises, wisdom from our tradition, and strategies to get through difficult times when they arise.
If this sounds like a group that would serve you, let me know. The first session will be open to those who are considering this kind of work so that no commitment required. L'shalom, Rabbi Susan
Thank you to those who have joined our Tikkun Olam Committee: Annie, Suzanne, Lee, Ed, John, Dot, Allee, Josh, Amber, Rabbi Susan. Please let me know if you are interested.
