Rabbi's Reflections ~ שמחת תורה

Saturday is Simchat Torah. The holiday at the end of Sukkot during which Jews dance with the Torah.

The yearly reading cycle of the Torah is completed and a new cycle is begun. Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah mark the end of the holiday season.

At TBS, the Torah scroll is unrolled in its entirety, and selected verses are read or sections noted..

So we take off her white covers
And put on the old ones.

Then we dance around the shul.

Keeping our loved ones’ memories as blessings,
Giving us Torah from the beginning, every year.

Alzheimer's Walk

Happy to report Team TBS Support for this year’s," War to End Alzheimers" has contributed to date $4,097 achieving 273% of our Goal.
Thank you to the congregants, friends and families that have supported this challenge. I’m sure those that participated in the walk found it an invigorating and rewarding experience.

Why? TBS has not had a annual Picnic for many years. Let's honor Rabbi Susan and Jessica and Board Members for their outstanding contribution to the success of TBS. Note: Parking fee $3 per vehicle.

When?  Saturday October 14th 1PM lunch.
