Kever Avot is the custom of visiting the graveside of parents or close relatives and praying there. Because so many of us have relatives that are buried elsewhere, we gather at our TBS cemetery for this occasion.
We say a few prayers and share some memories of loved ones. Some of us bring towels and glass cleaner to wipe clean the headstones of those in our section.
Kever Avot is a way to express our gratitude to those upon whose shoulders we stand. I hope to see you there.
