Rabbi’s Reflections ~ תפילת הדרך Many of us are traveling or have traveled this summer. Judaism has a prayer especially for travelers.
T'filat Haderech reminds us that God is with us and we ought to pay attention to the gifts that might otherwise be missed along the way.
As we travel, our physical journeys become spiritual ones as well. Traveling with awareness enables a vision of the wide perspective of our whole amazing life’s journey.
Traveling is a reminder that all of life is an extraordinary adventure. Yet we are also always forever on our way there, stumbling, dancing, opening to all it means to be human, remembering that it is the journey that matters.
May you be blessed on your journeys this summer and throughout your life.

The Jewish Path of Gratitude & Blessing Sunday, August 20 at 1pm Presented by Rabbi Nina Perlmutter
Our tradition has long encouraged expressions of gratitude. Even in hard, bad times we’re to stop, notice some good, and thank the Source of All. Talmud promotes doing this 100 times a day! We’ll learn & discuss how this plays out in daily Jewish practices both private and communal– from the time of waking up to bedtime. Thankfulness and blessings are integral to Jewish “mindfulness” practice.
