There was glitter and bling, delicious food and marvelous auction baskets, art, jewelry, airplane rides, yacht excursions, and vacations. A live jazz band, a real auctioneer, Jessica singing the Blues, and a crowded dance floor. 120 people together for an evening of laughter and hugs and a common goal ~ to celebrate Temple B'rith Shalom.
Gloria Hershman was the major mover and shaker. With her committee: Susan Sappington, Deb Plotkin, Suzi Abramson-Johnson, Jeff Brooks, Arlene Raskin, Dan Adler, and Bruce Hershman, they planned and shlepped and collected donations for months preceding the event. Countless meetings and conversations with Prescott Lakes organizing the menu and the room and all of the small details that we take for granted at an event like this.
Jessica spent dozens of hours preparing the flyers and posters and certificates and more. Evening volunteers sold raffle tickets and gave out bidding booklets.
Those who made anonymous donations, bought seats, donated items, purchased raffle tickets and bid on silent and live auction items can feel so proud that we have met our fundraising goal for this event.
A night to remember always as TBS continues to thrive and grow and prosper. Thank you, Gloria, and thank you, all.
And... Order an 8 1/2 X 11 photo of your table or choose from any picture posted on the bulletin board near the front office. After you choose your photo, contact Joanne Brody (richjohoney@gmail.com or 928-710-8737) to make arrangements. A small donation to the Temple is requested.
