I have been to Israel three times. In 1991 and 2005, I went on tours. In 2008, I volunteered on an army base for a week in memory of my recently deceased father who fought in Israel's War for Independence.
Israel is a magical experience. The sites and sights, the food, the people, Shabbat, the juxtoposition of biblical history with modern triumphs and struggles. It is truly a journey that is life changing.
If you are interested in learning a bit more about what such a trip might look like with congregants and friends at TBS, join us on Sunday at noon in the Social Hall. No obligation, no definites on dates or cost yet. A beginning discussion with Bill Dahlin and me.
