I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Not too much stress or too much rushing. A gentle day in which to give thanks for all our blessings. Delicious food, Macy’s Parade (my tradition), and football (for Brian.) Family and/or friends around the table sharing our lives.
In Judaism, we commonly use the word tzedakah to describe charitable giving. The Hebrew word tzedakah actually means “justice” or “fairness”. According to Jewish tradition, giving of one’s self to another, whether with money, time, or kindness, is less about going “above and beyond” and more about acting in a righteous way. A lovely concept for an inspiring season. ~ Rabbi Susan rabbi@brithshalom-az.org

Exciting Gala Update: As a reminder, the Temple B’rith Shalom fund raising Gala is planned for March 25, 2023. It will include the Rob Ratner band with our Jessica Dreifuss singing…along with both a silent and live auction. Tickets are $115 per person.
Auction items are starting to be acquired…rounds of golf, golf lessons, art pieces, sightseeing flights, and more. We all need to get on board with soliciting auction items to ensure a successful event. In addition, invite your friends, Jews and non Jews alike, to attend our Gala…it will be a fun-filled evening, and is important to the financial well being of the Temple. If you have any questions, please contact Gloria Hershman at 928-778-0161 or misgloria@gmail.com
