Rabbi's Reflections
I was the director of a large (300+ students) religious school for thirteen wonderful years. We educated children from age 4 to 18. Our curriculum was lively and innovative and filled with Jewish learning and laughter.
Torah and Hebrew, Jewish songs and art projects, field trips, grandparents’ day, special Shabbat services, cooking, and so much more. I can’t wait to share my ideas and expertise with the TBS religious school. I trained hundreds of teens for their b’nei mitzvah, directed a Junior Choir for many years, and loved to stage Hanukkah and Purim plays with students. We went to the zoo for Noah, climbed South Mountain for Pesach, invited puppet shows, professional children’s theater groups, storytellers and artists to share their talents with our kids.
One of the reasons I was so interested in joining Temple B’rith Shalom is because there are children here who are excited about being Jewish. And a Board who is strongly behind the notion of a religious school that brings children into our community and nurtures them.
I know there are many Jewish children and parents in Prescott who do not know that we are rebuilding and recreating and rejuvenating our religious school program. Help us get the word out. We are excited to meet and explore Jewish education with any families who reach out. Ask them to contact me at rabbi@brithshalom-az.org. School begins on Aug. 28!
We are so elated to welcome Rabbi Susan as our new Rabbi! Please read this wonderful article about Rabbi Susan published in Jewish News today!

Join the High Holiday Schlepping Crew!
High Holy Days are coming up, and I have 2 surgical events coinciding. I will need a lot of help with the schlep and setup between TBS and The Event Spot. The sooner I have a crew secured, the better I’ll feel about it. Please call or email me with whatever availability you have. We will have a meeting soon to organize.
