Meet Rabbi Julie Kozlow!

Temple B'rith Shalom is delighted to welcome Rabbi Julie Kozlow as its spiritual leader.

Rabbi Kozlow is a second career Jewish professional whose passion for Judaism and the way of life that Judaism prescribes, has inspired her to dedicate her life to its teachings and to inspiring others.

Rabbi Kozlow walks the fine line between her love of tradition and her vision for a strong and vibrant future. It is the synthesis of these two competing perspectives that she feels creates the most beautiful vision of the Jewish future.

Her ideals and heart let dedication are deeply grounded in Jewish ethics and the yearning for truth and knowledge. Second to her children and grandchildren, she puts her congregation on par with her love and dedication to her family.

Rabbi Kozlow was ordained in 2007 at the Academy for Jewish Religion in Los Angeles. Prior to her ordination, Kozlow graduated magna cum laude from American Jewish University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in Judaic studies. In addition, she holds two master’s degrees in rabbinic studies, one from the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies, and the second from the AJRC.

Rabbi Kozlow's one-year anniversary

On Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, it was Rabbi Julie Kozlow's first day as the spiritual leader of Temple B'rith Shalom. Little did we know what the year had in store for us!

On Sunday, Nov. 1, 2020, the congregation celebrated this first anniversary with a drive-by of more than 40 cars, filled with members who wanted Rabbi Julie to know how much we love her and appreciate all she has done to not only keep us together through the pandemic, but to grow the congregation and its One Room Shulhouse.

We're looking forward to many more years with Rabbi Julie as our spiritual leader.
